District 37 mourns the passing of Billy Robinson

We received sad news today, that IAMAW member and former President of Local Lodge 1786 Billy C. Robinson, has passed away April 22, 2019.  He enjoyed many wonderful years in retirement with his family and friends and he will be greatly missed.

In retired life, Brother Robinson, continued to serve where able on behalf of fellow members and retirees. He was a staunch advocate and vigorously called for Space Program Funding through the Machinists Union, AFL-CIO, and Democratic Party. He carried many Resolutions forward to secure a place of prominence for the work of NASA over several decades during his service for Labor. He worked on these from their origin at the lowest levels of development – all the way from the County Precincts, through the State and onward to the National Platform. His service to the IAMAW is certainly appreciated by members and families whose lives he touched by his service.

Arrangements are being made for funeral and memorial services and will be posted as they become available.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Billy’s Family.
